About Me

I am writer and editor from Toronto, currently based in the Netherlands.

I previously held the position of opinions editor at Maclean’s, Canada’s news magazine since 1905. I have written for Elle Canada, Chatelaine, Toronto Star’s The Kit, and more. I’m currently working on my first fiction novel.

I have a degree in language and linguistics from Queen's University and a master's in journalism from Newcastle University, UK. I was awarded a National Magazine Award (NMA) for The Nanny Diaries, my Toronto Life feature on the lives of Filipina child caregivers. Previous to my time at Maclean’s, I was the editor-in-chief of GLORY, a Canadian sports-lifestyle magazine focused on athletes, health and wellness. I've also worked on social media and content marketing campaigns for clients like Sephora, Mejuri, Lexus and Air Canada.
